Refunds & cancellations
Our policy for subscription payments to Fern Dale Makers Studio. Last updated: 8 September 2026.
Every base plan begins with a free 7-day trial. The trial is available once per account and is not repeatable by cancelling and subscribing again.
No payment is taken during the trial. Your first payment falls due on the day the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial ends from the Billing & plan page, you are not charged and nothing is owed.
The optional Marketing Suite add-on is never free. It is not included in the trial and is charged from the day you add it, alongside your base plan.
Monthly plans are Maker £6.99, Maker + Home Fragrance £11.99, Maker + Cosmetics £11.99, Full Studio £14.99, and the optional Marketing Suite add-on £9.99.
You may cancel at any time from the Billing & plan page. Cancellation stops future charges and your paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period.
Because access begins immediately upon payment, monthly fees that have already been billed are non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where required by law.
Annual plans are Maker £69, Maker + Home Fragrance £119, Maker + Cosmetics £119, Full Studio £149, and the optional Marketing Suite add-on £99. They are billed once a year. Members who hold an older annual subscription continue unchanged at their original price.
14-day cooling-off: If you purchased an annual plan and change your mind, you may request a refund within 14 days of the initial payment. If you have already used the paid features during that period, we may deduct a reasonable, proportionate amount for the service you received. Contact us via the Contact & FAQs page.
After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel renewal at any time and continue to use the paid features until the end of the prepaid year.
You can move between plans at any time — for example adding a specialist workspace, moving to Full Studio, or adding the Marketing Suite. Upgrades and downgrades are handled by our payment provider, which applies the usual pro-rata adjustment to your next invoice. Moving to a smaller plan is not treated as a refundable cancellation of the plan you were on.
Records you have already created stay in your account when you change plan, even where the new plan does not include that workspace.
If you subscribed inside the iPhone, iPad or Android app, Apple or Google took the payment and manages the renewal. Cancellations and refunds for those purchases are handled under that store’s own policy, through your Apple or Google account, rather than by us.
We can still help you work out what you hold and how to cancel — contact us through the Contact & FAQs page. Section 14 of our Terms of Use covers store purchases.
We aim for high availability but occasional downtime for maintenance or due to upstream providers can occur. We do not provide compensation for short outages. If the service is unavailable for a prolonged period due to our fault, contact us and we will offer a pro-rata credit at our discretion.
Anything beyond that sits under section 10 of our Terms of Use, which sets out the limits on our overall liability.
Use the Contact & FAQs page and include:
- The email address on your account.
- The approximate date and amount of the charge.
- A short reason for the request.
We aim to respond within 5 working days.
