Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how you can cancel an order with Fern Dale Rituals or Fern Dale Keepsakes (Kathryn Barnes, trading as Fern Dale Handcrafted, 288 Ferndale Road, Swindon, Wiltshire SN2 1HL). It does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancelling before dispatch

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, email contact@ferndale-handcrafted.co.uk with your order number as soon as possible. If we have not yet started making or packing it, we will cancel it and refund you in full, including delivery.

Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you can cancel an online order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. To cancel, email contact@ferndale-handcrafted.co.uk with your order number, or use the model cancellation form below. You then have a further 14 days to return the items to us unused and in their original condition and packaging. You pay the cost of returning them unless they are faulty.

We will refund the price of the items and the cost of standard delivery (not any extra you paid for a faster delivery option) within 14 days of receiving the items back, or proof that you have sent them, using your original payment method. We may reduce the refund if the items have been used or handled more than necessary to check them.

When the right to cancel does not apply

• Personalised or made-to-order items, such as photo keepsakes, magnets, calendars and engraved candles, once we have started making them.
• Sealed skincare, balms and soaps that have been unsealed or opened after delivery, for health and hygiene reasons.
• Items bought in person at a market, event or stall (these are not distance sales), unless faulty.

Cancellations by us

We may need to cancel an order if an item becomes unavailable, we cannot deliver to your address, or a personalised item cannot be made (for example because a photo is unsuitable, or for safeguarding reasons). If we do, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Keepsake events and workshops

Bookings for keepsake events and workshops have their own cancellation terms, which are shown when you book and in your booking confirmation.
