Our Story
A little about me
I've always been someone who makes things - including, many years ago, a very wonky candle I made and gifted to my Nanna.
Later, after years of struggling with my skin, I started to looking more carefully at what I was using and began making skincare for myself. What started as a wonky candle and homemade skincare slowly became something I wanted to share what I was making with family and friends. Fern Dale began to grow.
Alongside Fern Dale, I work full time in a demanding role, so making gives me a completely different space to switch off, create and enjoy something that is entirely my own. It really is my happy place.
Everything at Fern Dale is still handcrafted by me, in small batches, from my home studio - and I hope I get to keep making for a long time.

Lovely soap
This was the first natural soap bar I have ever brought. I love it! People even comment on how lovely I smell. It lasted way longer than I thought it would too, 3 months, and that was using it often twice a day!

Love this product
Love this product, I get dry skin on my legs and this really helps with exfoliation. Only need a small amount to see great results 😊

Luxurious gift
I received Citrus Veil body butter as gift and love using it after a shower. I have very dry skin on my legs and this is super absorbent leaving my legs well moisturised with a lovely glow. It also smells devine. I highly recommend.

Super soft body butter
I bought this as a gift after using this for the past 12 months. I have very sensitive skin and allergies to so many perfumed products so this is perfect. It’s gorgeous, soft and easy to apply and you only need a small amount to cover.

Lovely Tallow Soap Collection
We love soap and bought this collection for Christmas. Very impressed - we're still using our first bar, Solara Bloom, and are finding it a really lovely soap to use - long lasting and moisturising. All the soaps look beautiful and we're looking forward to working our way through the rest of the collection.

It's been a busy week behind the scenes at Fern Dale - lots of making, plenty of Christmas preparations and far too may things on my to do list!
There was a rather lovely milestone too: the very first order came through my new website before I'd even officially launched it. Not quite how I'd planned it, but a pretty good way to discover everything works!
