Fern Dale Makers Studio provides structured tools, templates, and guidance to support product development, record keeping, and compliance processes within home fragrance and cosmetic businesses.
All content is provided for informational and organisational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, regulatory certification, safety approval, or professional instruction. This platform does not issue CPSRs or PIFs — it helps organise the records that support them.
While every effort has been made to ensure that information is accurate and aligned with current UK and EU cosmetic and product safety regulations at the time of publication, no guarantee is given regarding completeness, accuracy, or ongoing compliance. Regulations, standards, and guidance may change over time.
Use of this platform does not ensure that any product created is safe, compliant, or approved for sale. Responsibility for formulation, testing, documentation, labelling, and compliance remains solely with the user.
Users are responsible for obtaining all required documentation, including but not limited to Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), Product Information Files (PIFs), CLP classifications, and any other applicable regulatory requirements before placing products on the market.
Fern Dale Makers Studio accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from the use or misuse of this platform.
The allergen calculator provides organisational assistance based on the region selected — UK mode shows the 23 UK-declared fragrance allergens, and EU mode adds further declared substances (such as Methyl 2-Octynoate). Lists and thresholds change over time. Always cross-check results against the current published UK / EU Annex III entries and your fragrance supplier’s IFRA and allergen declaration before using them on a label or in a safety file.
All generated data and documentation should be reviewed and verified by the user before use. The Studio supports formulation and compliance workflows but does not replace a qualified safety assessor.
